CLEANING
All costume pieces rented for productions must be returned cleaned and free of stains and body odor and perfumes. Anything returned will be assessed and an additional cleaning fee will be charged if required.
ALTERATIONS
Alterations may only be performed with prior written consent of Charleston Costumes. Costumes may not be altered to fit and must be returned in their original condition. If a costume is returned altered or damaged with written consent having been given, damage and/or replacement fees will be charged. Costumes may NOT be cut, dyed, painted or altered without written permission from Charleston Costumes. Tape, iron-on bonding-web, glue or any other type of adhesives may NOT be used on costumes under any circumstances. It is advised that alterations are done using minimal basting-type stitches to avoid damage. Items damaged during alteration, even with prior consent by Charleston Costumes, are subject to damage and/or replacement fees.
DEPOSITS
All rentals require a deposit for reservation. Rentals are not guaranteed without a processed deposit payment. The standard deposit rate is 30% of the total rental and is to be charged at the time of reservation. Deposit will be credited to your rental total when final payment is made. Deposits are non-refundable. If your rental start day is delayed, your deposit will remain on the account for your costume rental for up to 1 year after your reservation. Deposits on non-transferrable for different costumes or to other customers. Any rentals that are cancelled prior to the completion of the rental agreement will result in forfeiture of deposit. Your rental deposit does not cover other charges you may incur such as damage, replacement, or laundry fees.
